What goes with a majlis sofa?

Seating alone does not make a majlis. Low coffee tables, Arabic carpets, cushions and lamps complete the setting and give guests somewhere to place coffee and dates.

We offer tables such as the Mahdia Mashrabiya coffee table and the pallet-style Braun low tables, shown in the image above. Carpets in Lime, Ocean and Fire rent at AED 120 each, and an Arabic lamp is AED 30.

How do you plan quantities and layout?

Start with guest count, venue and the time guests will stay. Seat the most senior guests on sofas facing the entrance, and keep walkways clear for serving.
